Meet Me

Hello, my name is Turtle and I like taking pictures. I am twelve years old. I am living for God and always finding new Bible verses to live by.
Here is a picture I have taken-

I also am doing a series of posts called A Typical Christian Girls POV. Check it out!

A typical Christian girls POV

In my family, it is important to study God's Word. We memorize verses and read Bible stories. We pray and give thanks. Personally, my favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper, and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope, and a future."

That verse is well known. The way I hear that verse, I think of a puzzle. God is fitting the pieces of your life together. If you surrender everything to Him, your plans will succeed, and your puzzle will be complete.

Another verse I like is Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is being sure of what we hope for; and certain of what we do not see."

Hmm, this is going to be hard to explain. I like that verse because I really had to think about it before I could understand it. We take faith for granted. So you believe in God so you have faith? Yes, but there is so much more. In a way, faith is like believing. But not quite. You can believe in only what you see. But you can not have faith in what you only see. Believing=thinking. Having faith=giving every last ounce of your belief to a cause. In this case, the cause is God. In a way, it is like giving your house and everything you own to a stranger, blindly trusting him. Yet, you aren't giving God solid items, you are trusting Him in every way you can imagine. You are being certain of what you do not see!I will repeat it again, believing is thinking. Having faith is giving every once of your belief to a cause. If you think about the definition I gave you, faith overpowers belief. Faith is giving all your belief. Think about it, 17 words need a whole paragraph of explaining.

We try to live like God wants us to.  This week, we have been studying gentleness.  We have read about Cain and Abel, along with Jacob and Esau. As I said before, it is important to us that we study God's Word.
